About Linda Walker
Linda Walker majored in music education at Oral Roberts University and studied Piano Performance at the University of South Alabama. She studied piano with Dr. Jerry Alan Bush and voice with Bonnie Jean Early and has completed teacher training courses in the Suzuki Piano Method of teaching. Linda has taught general music, theory and choir for grades K4 – 6th grade and has taught piano, private and group since 1982. She has written music theory games and curriculum as well as a piano teaching method, entitled Master Reader. She is a member of the Tallahassee Music Teacher’s Association, the Florida State Music Teacher’s Association, and the Music Teacher’s National Association.
Linda is also an accomplished composer who has been published by 11 different publishing companies some of which include: Integrity Music, David C. Cook Music, Willis Music, Lillenus Music, Shawnee Press, Hope Music and LifeWay Christian Resources. Her published works include songs for children, lullabies, anthems, cantatas, musicals, choir curriculum song and piano solos. Her main publisher, LifeWay Christian Resources, has published over 350 songs for children by Linda, to date. Growing up in the home of a minister, she was instilled early on with a great love for church music and has served on church staff as worship leader, pianist, children’s choir coordinator and biblical teacher. She currently resides with her husband of 51 years in the Tallahassee, FL area.
